Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Japan Home Atlas. By creating an account, starting a paid trial, or using the service, you agree to them.
1 · Service scope
Japan Home Atlas organizes third-party property listings, English translations, source links, saved research, and decision-support context. We do not represent buyers, sellers, agents, municipalities, or listing sites.
No guarantee
We do not guarantee availability, price, ownership, title, boundaries, access, condition, legality, rebuildability, financing, tax treatment, hazard status, subsidy eligibility, or the accuracy of a translation. Dates, confidence, sources, and unknown states are part of the research.
Your verification
Before relying on a material fact, verify it with the current source and the appropriate licensed or qualified local professionals. Do not make a purchase, travel, renovation, financing, tax, or legal decision from the atlas alone.
2 · Third-party material
Listing text, photographs, marks, and source-site material belong to their respective owners. The atlas provides attribution and a direct source link where available. Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy practices.
Reports and takedowns
Rights holders, listing representatives, and customers may report a listing, photograph, privacy concern, attribution issue, or stale source at support@japanhomeatlas.com. We may pause, remove, or restrict material while reviewing a report.
A report does not automatically establish ownership, infringement, sale status, or another legal conclusion. We may request enough information to identify the material and understand the request.
3 · Accounts and acceptable use
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. Keep access to your email account secure and notify us if you believe your atlas account has been misused.
Permitted use
You may browse, save, annotate, compare, and export your own account data for lawful personal research. Limited sharing with your own professional advisers is permitted when it preserves source attribution and these limits.
Prohibited use
Do not bypass authentication, paywalls, rate limits, or technical controls; enumerate inaccessible listings; scrape or bulk-download the service; republish or sell the catalog or media; interfere with the service; upload malicious material; impersonate another person; or use the service unlawfully.
4 · Plans, trial, and billing
A verified free account provides the current ten-home edition indefinitely without a payment method. Paid access is $19 USD monthly or $120 USD annually. Starting the separate three-day paid trial requires a payment method in Stripe.
Renewal and cancellation
Unless canceled, the selected plan automatically renews at the displayed recurring interval after the three-day trial. You can manage or cancel an existing subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from Account. Cancel-at-period-end access continues through the paid period shown there.
Refunds and changes
Charges are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where we confirm a billing error. Contact support@japanhomeatlas.com promptly about a disputed service charge. Future price or plan changes will be disclosed before they take effect for an existing subscription.
5 · Availability and enforcement
We may correct research, change sources, remove material, limit abusive use, suspend an account, or pause part of the service for security, legal, operational, or upstream-provider reasons. We may end an account for a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Applicable statutory rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Japan Home Atlas is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages, or for a transaction decision based on the service. Aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
6 · Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service or law changes. The effective date identifies the current version, and material changes may also be announced in the service or by email. Questions, billing concerns, and content reports may be sent to support@japanhomeatlas.com.
